A Snowy Michigan Wedding - Portraits at St. John's Resort

It was cold outside, but warm and cozy indoors when Bill and KK said "I do" on Valentine's Day Weekend! KK's sisters flew in to celebrate the special day, and the decor was inspired by their beautiful culture. KK's gorgeous ballgown wedding dress and both of their Chinese wedding attire was handmade by her sister, and they braved a classic Michigan snowstorm so we could capture some elegant portraits before the big ceremony. St. John's Resort is well known for their gorgeous hallways lined with windows to let in tons of natural light. The hotel was just a few minutes away from the ceremony location, so after our getting-ready shenanigans, we met Bill at the Golf Club!

Friends, Family and Fun in Northville, Michigan

The ceremony was gorgeous with a very thoughtful speech from the officiant and an absolutely whimsical bubble exit (check out the pics - I love how those bubbles turned out!). Northville Golf Club flipped the room so quickly and effortlessly from classy ceremony to bumpin' reception.

Before every event, we set up one final phone call with our couples to iron out the timeline and make sure we're all on the same page and ready to go come wedding day. During our call with Bill and KK, they asked for DJ recommendations, and I love LOVE bragging on the people that we've worked with! Ralph and Kim from RC Dj and Video Productions are one of our favorite DJ's to work with. I love listening to Ralph MC - he's the life of every party, and Kim made sure the diverse playlist fit Bill and KK's playlist perfectly. One of my favorite moments is watching Bill's mom (and the rest of their families) cutting a rug on the dance floor!

Big shout out to Sorella bakery for that beautiful cake! Omar still talks about how delicious it was!
